Contemporary artist Louis Rollinde examines the difficulty of seeing. His works explore blurriness, cutouts, and pareidolia—illusions that make familiar shapes appear where none exist. On the shifting boundary between form and formlessness, Rollinde creates panels, displays, and fictional collections in which one can make out monsters, silhouettes, debris, and graceful profiles. Are these inventories or extinctions?
